General Data Protection Regulation

PESOPS collects, maintains and processes personal data of its members in accordance with the definitions of Regulation 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – hereinafter GDPR).

 

Categories of Personal Data collected and processed:

 

Identification Data : Name, surname, date of birth, identity card or passport number, membership category

 

Contact Data: email address, home address, work address, correspondence address, telephone numbers, etc.

 

Educational and professional qualifications

 

Financial data:  A list is kept of the deposits of the annual membership fees of each member.

 

Sensitive personal data of any nature of which the Ethics Committee may become aware in the event of a complaint against a member.

 

Purposes of the collection and processing of Personal Data

To carry out accounting operations such as issuing receipts for payment of members’ subscriptions.

The maintenance and updating of the Association’s statutory books (treasury book, membership book, incoming/outgoing correspondence protocol, minutes of General Assemblies, Board of Directors, Ethics Committee of the Association, membership book, application file).

Informing members about actions and events organised by the Association and the overarching associations of collective representation to which PESOPS belongs.

 

Place and method of processing of Personal Data

The processing of Personal Data is carried out by the Association and by the European Association of Body Psychotherapy (EABP), to which you become a member by registering with PESOPS and are transmitted electronically to its legal representatives within Europe.

The membership lists are kept by PESOPS in hard copy and are kept at the Association’s offices as well as in electronic form managed by the Association’s Executive Committee.

 

Further, the PESOPS Ethics Committee may receive complaints against our members from their clients and/or other colleagues, members or non-members. In such cases, the document of the complaints and the minutes of the Committee’s meetings held to investigate the content of the complaints are kept in hard copy at the Association’s offices as well as in electronic form and are accessible only to the members of the Ethics Committee, who are solely responsible for keeping and managing them.

Correction, deletion and restriction of Personal Data

 

The Association may not correct, delete or restrict the personal data it processes except on the written request of its member.

 

Recipients of Transfers of Personal Data

The Association informs the European Association of Body Psychotherapy (EABP) of each new member and transmits to it the full name of the member and his/her category (regular, cadet, friend, student, honorary member, member-organiser).

The Association shall not transmit further personal data unless this is required for reasons of public interest and requested by any administrative, judicial or other authority or, in general, by any legal or natural person to whom such data may be disclosed in accordance with applicable law or a court order.

 

Retention period for Personal Data

Your personal data will be kept for as long as you hold membership of PESOPS and for three (3) years after your deletion.

 

Our commitments

To ensure the minimization, accuracy and completeness of your personal data, PESOPS ensures that the processing of your personal data is lawful, appropriate and has an appropriate level of security to prevent any unauthorized or accidental access, processing, deletion, alteration or other use of your personal data.

 

Your rights

 

In any event, we would like to inform you that, in accordance with applicable law and under this contract, you have and may exercise the following rights:

  • the right of access to your personal data, as well as to the information related to the processing,
  • the right to rectification of inaccurate and completion of any incomplete data,
  • the right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”),
  • the right to the restriction of the processing of your data in the cases expressly provided for by law,
  • the right to the portability of your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (e.g. CD),
  • the right to transfer your data to a controller other than us,
  • your right to object to the processing of your personal data

The exercise of one of the above rights is made by submitting a written request to PESOPS and may lead to your deletion from PESOPS if, upon its satisfaction, it is no longer possible to identify you and to certify the formal qualifications of the body psychotherapist required to maintain our membership or, in any case, the purpose for which PESOPS receives and processes your personal data is not fulfilled.
